What I've been up to lately

Some of you have pressured me and bothered me into posting so I guess its about time I did so. You all already know about going to Disneyland if not see some of my friends blogs. For some reason I lost my voice for a week afterward and lost it while there. In all it was a great fun trip.

I had like two tests in my classes lately and that kept me busy as well.

Also I don’t know think many of you have heard, but a couple of weeks ago I went in for a physical examination to see if I was fit for marriage I suppose. Well there we discussed getting an echocardiogram as I had an irregular heart flap rhythm as a child and was suppose to follow up on in every 10 years. I waited a while to get one as to save some money and see about my potential employers insurance policy. Well I found out that it’d be just as much with Deloitte’s insurance as it would be with mine, so went ahead and received one last Friday. Basically it is just an ultrasound on your heart. Here’s the best picture I could find:

Well they said it wouldn’t be until Monday that I got the results seeing if anything was wrong with my heart, so I got a call yesterday while at work and had to go meet with the doctor immediately over at the hospital. This was a little worrisome, but went over to the hospital anyway.

When I finally got there I had to wait briefly until the doctor was able to go over the results with me. Basically he told me I have a heart disease called noncompaction cardiomyopathy. It basically means that part of my heart didn’t grow from birth, and that I have (not really a surprise) susceptibility to fatigue and breathlessness and shouldn’t do extreme physical exercise. It also means I am more susceptible to dying all of sudden. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.

Anyway I’m fine, a little worried, but will hopefully be o.k. I wish I could put up a picture of my heard since we are all about posting creepy things on our blogs, but don’t have a scanner unfortunately.

Wow Royce, your friends must have given up on you ever posting so nobody is reading it. But I read it and I love you and I am praying for you! (And you spelled heart wrong towards the end.)

We'll add you to our prayer list too (after we've been assured that this isn't an April Fools!)

Alright Alright. I was hoping for more comments, but it is indeed an April Fools. Although it could be somewhat possible. The story is mostly true up to the part where I actually got the Echocardiogram. I should get an Echocardiogram but am waiting for a job to have insurance as it doesn't sound too serious (I did have a heart flap thing and did have an echocardiogram as a kid and should get another).

I admit, I'm relieved. I probably would have believed you if Wes hadn't already sunk me with a cockroach (sp?) April fools first thing in the morning. I was on the look out!

I almost believed you but knowing your past history and posting, wasn't sure. Glad to know there isn't anything (too) serious going on. (Even left a comment on Heather's blog about yours)

Well I am glad that you aren't going to suddenly die on us! You are so funny, I don't ever do anything on April Fools.Oh and there is a baby Giraffe at the Zoo. He was born in October so he isn't a newborn or anything but still small.

rats, I was on the look out big time yesterday for any jokes, but I didn't read this until today. Ry and I are both very disappointed in ourselves for not pulling off a proper joke. By the way, I ransacked my room in StL, but couldn't find any evidence of "the letter" I am bummed. And...I think we have a connection with a friend of yours here but I won't post his name to protect the innocent. Just remind me to ask you about it. Got your wedding invite too...I don't know if that's the pic we all voted on, but if it is-I should have chosen it cause it looks good :)And...if you posted more often, you probably wouldn't get such long comments from me :)

I'm kind of mad that you got me all worried for no reason. You little rotter!

Ah man. That was like an Ashton Kutcher prank. "I'm sorry. Your dog was hit by a car. While speeding to get to the vet, the car rolled and your daughter was killed."
(Horrified silence)
"Punked!!! Ahh ha ha!"
(Angry silence)

(Forgiveness) for YOU, not Ashton
